Logging in and creating a new account
Click on log in/create account link in the upper right corner of the page and follow the simple instructions there: login if you have already your username and password or create a new account.
Verification of the new account
Note, that if you created a new account, the account must be verified. Unverified users are not granted edit and upload file privileges! To verify your account, our server automatically sends an email to the address you provided in the account request form. Usually it takes just a few seconds. If you do not receive the confirmation mail, first check if the message has not been rejected by your spam filter. Otherwise, please contact email@example.com (Tomasz Haupt).
The confirmation message looks like that:
Someone, probably you, from IP address 184.108.40.206, has registered an account "Your Name" with this e-mail address on EVOWiki. To confirm that this account really does belong to you and activate e-mail features on EVOWiki, open this link in your browser: https://icme.hpc.msstate.edu/mediawiki/index.php/Special:ConfirmEmail/d4e915e3977dd6fb51f3fd686181111 If you did *not* register the account, follow this link to cancel the e-mail address confirmation: https://icme.hpc.msstate.edu/mediawiki/index.php/Special:Invalidateemail/d4e915e3977dd6fb51f3fd6861872111 This confirmation code will expire at 17:58, 19 March 2010.
If you forgot your password
If you forgot your password, click on "E-mail new password" button on the login page. A new temporary password will be automatically sent to you by email. The message looks like that:
Someone (probably you, from IP address 220.127.116.11) requested a new password for EVOWiki (https://icme.hpc.msstate.edu/mediawiki/index.php). A temporary password for user "Your Name" has been created and was set to "WScXE4T". If this was your intent, you will need to log in and choose a new password now. Your temporary password will expire in 7 days. If someone else made this request, or if you have remembered your password, and you no longer wish to change it, you may ignore this message and continue using your old password.
You will be asked to create a new (easier to remember) password upon login in using the temporary one.
