Description: FiPy is a software that main focus is on phase field modeling. It is written in Python and, it is an object oriented and partial differential equation. The software was developed by Material Science and Engineering Division (MSED) and Center for Theoretical and Computational Material Science (CTCMS). The Framework for FiPy includes transient diffusion, convection and standard sources, enabling the solution of arbitrary combinations of coupled elliptic, hyperbolic and parabolic. The Current models that relate to the Material Science include polycrystalline, dendritic, and electrochemical phase transformations
