Crack propagation across a gray cast iron (GCI) specimen being pulled in tension in an EVO-SEM. The significance of this video is the crack not following the graphite flakes aligned in the crack direction as well as the amount of ductility observed when the graphite pulls away from the pearlitic matrix.
